

Set of AN/VIC-1 intercoms for up to 2 vehicles.
This is a set of 2 1/35 AN/VIC-1 intercoms. It includes:
2 AM-1780 (Amplifer, Audio Frequency),
5 C-2298/VRC (Control Intercommunication Set) and 5 C-10456/VRC,
2 C-2297/VRC, 2 C-2299/VRC,
2 C-2296/VRC, 2 C-2742/VRC,
4 LS-454 loudspeakers,
and over 60 connectors.
The AN/VIC-1 was in use from the 1970's to the early 2000's when it was replaced by the VIC-3 and subsequently by the VIC-5. The VIC-1 is able to provide communication for up to 5 crew members in a vehicle. A C-2298 is placed at each crew station except the driver's. The C-2297 is mounted in the driver's position. A C-2296 box is mounted outside the vehicle to provide communication between the crew and radio inside the vehicle and infantry. The C-10456 is mounted in the M1 Abrams and M2 and M3 Bradleys. The VIC-1 system can be used with AN/VRC-12 radio sets as well as SINCGARS sets.
