1/48 scale diorama—a Soviet WW2 airfield base! The scene features hexagon concrete slabs, a weathered dirt road running along the side, and subtle grass growth between the slabs and along the roadside.
Dimensions: 30x30cm, designed specifically for 1/48 scale models.
During World War II, the Soviet Union constructed military airfields using standardized concrete slabs for rapid deployment and durability. One of the common types was the hexagonal concrete slab (1.5m), which provided a stable surface for aircraft operations while allowing for easy replacement of damaged sections.
This diorama was painted with acrylics and weathered using pigments and enamels to create a realistic aged effect.
