Handcrafted WWII Luftwaffe airfield display base, designed to work with aircraft models in both 1/72 and 1/48 scale.

The base measures 25 x 25 cm (9.84 x 9.84 in) and represents a weathered concrete dispersal / hardstand surrounded by natural grass. The concrete surface has been individually painted and weathered with tonal variations, staining, dirt and subtle earth effects to recreate the appearance of a well-used wartime airfield.

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 shown in the photos is 1/72 scale and is included only to demonstrate the size and appearance of the base with an aircraft in position.

The 25 x 25 cm size makes the base particularly versatile:

- 1/72 scale: suitable for most Luftwaffe fighters and many twin-engine aircraft, including the Bf 109, Fw 190, Bf 110, Me 262, Ju 87, He 162 and similar aircraft.

- 1/48 scale: ideal as a compact display for single-engine fighters such as the Bf 109, Fw 190, Ju 87, He 162 and other similarly sized WWII aircraft.

Each base is completely handmade, hand-painted and individually weathered, making every piece slightly unique.
